For too long, data centers have operated with fragmented tools, inconsistent workflows, and unreliable data, capping their potential. MCIM unites operations, maintenance, capital planning, and reliability intelligence into one comprehensive platform built specifically for mission-critical environments.

  • No silos — one platform that unites workflows across sites and teams
  • No blind spots — clean, first-party data and benchmarking that drive better decisions
  • No going it alone — a consultative partner dedicated solely to data center operations

Trusted by leading colocation providers, hyperscalers, and global financial institutions, MCIM is purpose-built to support the complexity, density, and uptime demands of modern digital infrastructure.

About the Role

The mission for the Business Development Representative (BDR) is to generate and qualify new business opportunities for our senior sales team. Successful candidates must demonstrate curiosity, passion, drive, and an ability to be coached. Partnering with our Marketing team and Account Executives will give you the opportunity to develop and enhance expertise in managing the full sales cycle through a mentee/mentor relationship.

Ultimately, you will generate pipeline and contribute to our long-term business growth.

Success In Year 1 Looks Like

  • You're consistently booking meetings with target accounts at or above MCIM's BDR benchmark, month over month — not just in a good month here and there.
  • Those meetings are converting to Sales Accepted Leads at the team's benchmark rate, and your pipeline dollar contribution is hitting target.
  • You're running your own account research, activity plan, and prospecting cadence — without someone assigning your list or checking in on your daily numbers.
  • You've built real credibility in the data center / mission-critical infrastructure space, and a genuine working partnership with the Account Executives you support.

What You'll Do

  • Develop an educated point of view on the customer needs prior to prospecting
  • Continuously learn the data center industry in order to demonstrate relevant subject matter expertise to your prospective customers
  • Following an account-based approach in order to identify all decision makers and key influencers within prospects’ organizations
  • Systematically prospect leads via email, social media and phone
  • Collaborate with your team and manager to overcome objections and increase the efficiency of your role (e.g., discovery, time management)
  • Earn commitments from prospects to meet with your sales counterparts to learn more about MCIM
  • Prioritize and organize your day using Salesforce and our prospecting tech stack
  • Develop skills necessary for promotion into other roles in the organization

The Skills and Experience You Bring

  • 3–5 years of experience in a B2B SaaS sales development or outbound prospecting role.
  • Proactivity - Acts without being told what to do. Brings new ideas to the company.
  • Persistence - Demonstrates tenacity and willingness to go the distance to get things done.
  • Attention to detail - Does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project.
  • Excellent communication skills - Speaks and writes clearly and articulately. Maintains this standard in all forms of communication, including on the phone and email.
  • Listening skills - Lets others speak and seeks to understand their viewpoints.
  • Persuasion - Able to convince others to pursue a course of action.
  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field

  • Unlimited PTO
  • 401(k) match
  • Annual employee learning stipend
