You must submit an online application to be considered for the position. The Company will accept applications on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
The position will be responsible for multi-business unit sales from opportunity to order across select named accounts within Schneider Electric's Public Sector business, encompassing State & Local Government and Education (SLED).
This role will have a primary focus on the Transportation vertical, leading strategic account development across the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. The transportation portfolio will include airports, ports, transit authorities, rail and other transportation infrastructure organizations across the assigned geography.
The assigned account portfolio may also include a smaller number of strategic Higher Education, municipal and other State & Local Government accounts based on Public Sector priorities, market opportunity and coverage needs.
The ideal candidate possesses the ability to develop deep, trusted-advisor relationships with senior public sector executives, map Schneider Electric's full portfolio to customers' stated and unstated needs, and work horizontally across the Schneider Electric organization to orchestrate and influence integrated sales of products, solutions, software and services that represent the most compelling and differentiated offers for the assigned accounts.
The ideal candidate should be able to autonomously navigate the SLED and transportation business landscape. Specifically, the candidate should understand the public sector procurement process, including how to research, analyze and influence solicitations; align sales activities to customers' legislative, budget and capital-planning cycles; build champions among appointed executives and operational leaders; and position Schneider Electric solutions throughout the value chain of consultants, engineering firms, EPCs, contractors, integrators, OEMs, distributors and channel partners.
Core Responsibilities

- Develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned airports, ports, transit authorities, rail and other transportation infrastructure accounts across DC, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
- Build trusted relationships with executive, engineering, operations, procurement, sustainability and technology stakeholders.
- Engage early in major capital, modernization, electrification and infrastructure programs to influence requirements and position Schneider Electric ahead of formal procurement.
- Identify and develop opportunities across Schneider Electric's electrification, power distribution, automation, digitalization, software, services and sustainability portfolio.
- Develop relationships throughout the transportation project ecosystem, including consulting engineers, EPCs, contractors, system integrators, OEMs, distributors and strategic partners.
- Lead the One Schneider account team and coordinate business units, technical experts and pursuit resources around strategic customer opportunities.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of near-, mid- and long-term opportunities aligned with customer capital plans and investment priorities.
- Maintain timely and accurate CRM hygiene, account plans, opportunity strategies, forecasting and pipeline development.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to a diverse group of senior public sector leaders.
- Reflect the Voice of the Customer to inform internal planning, solution development and investment priorities.
- Support a select portfolio of Higher Education, municipal and other SLED accounts within the assigned geography as business priorities require.
Preferred Experience and Capabilities
- Demonstrated success selling complex solutions into Public Sector, infrastructure or transportation customers.
- Experience navigating long-cycle, multi-stakeholder capital projects and public procurement environments.
- Understanding of how infrastructure opportunities move from owner planning and consultant design through specification, procurement, construction, modernization and lifecycle services.
- Ability to develop relationships at both executive and technical or operational levels.
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and multiple business units around large strategic pursuits.
- Experience influencing consulting engineers, EPCs, contractors, system integrators, OEMs and channel partners.
- Strong strategic account planning, opportunity development, forecasting and CRM discipline.
- Transportation industry experience across airports, ports, transit, rail or other mobility infrastructure is strongly preferred.

- High-impact role where your work directly influences organizational success and customer outcomes.
- Opportunity to build relationships with senior leaders and shape strategic direction across important public infrastructure and transportation organizations.
