You Know Automation. You Know Sales. Now Go Win the Business.
Are you a sales professional who knows how to turn an opportunity into a customer? Do you have a technical understanding of automation, a natural drive to sell, and the determination to see a deal through from the first conversation to the final signature?
SSI SCHÄFER is looking for a driven Key Account Manager to #ThinkTomorrow in or around Charlotte, NC or remote (EST).
This is an opportunity for a motivated sales professional who knows the automation market, understands how to identify customer needs, and is ready to take ownership of the entire sales process. You'll identify and develop new business opportunities, build relationships with key decision-makers, and sell complex automation solutions that help customers transform their operations.
Our sales cycles can range from six months to two years, so success takes more than making a pitch. It requires strategic thinking, technical credibility, relationship building, persistence, and the ability to turn promising opportunities into real business.
We're looking for someone who doesn't wait for leads to land in their inbox. You know how to open doors, build a pipeline, develop customer relationships, and close the deal.
What You'll Do
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the logistics and warehouse automation market, building and managing your own sales pipeline.
- Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and customer discovery through solution development, negotiations, and closing complex deals.
- Understand customer needs and partner with internal sales, engineering, and project teams to develop and present tailored automation solutions.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with key decision-makers while managing extended sales cycles and maintaining accurate forecasts.
- Spend approximately 50% of your time traveling to engage customers, develop opportunities, and grow the business.
What You'll Bring
- At least 3 years of experience in automation, intralogistics, warehouse automation, or a related technical sales environment.
- A hunter mentality with a demonstrated ability to prospect, generate new business, build a pipeline, and close deals.
- Technical aptitude and the ability to communicate complex solutions in a way that connects with customer needs.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a trustworthy and professional approach.
- Self-motivation, persistence, and the ability to manage complex sales cycles that may span six months to two years, along with a willingness to travel approximately 50%.
What Sets You Apart
You're more than a relationship manager, and you're more than a cold-calling salesperson. You're both a hunter and a closer. You know how to find the right opportunities, earn customer trust, navigate complex buying decisions, and turn your efforts into results.
You bring energy, accountability, and a genuine hunger to win business. You're also someone who values teamwork, builds lasting relationships, and wants to grow alongside a company delivering innovative automation solutions.
