Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to join our Accounting team in Dubrovnik.
The successful candidate will support day-to-day accounting activities, month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciliations, reporting, and other finance-related activities while working closely with local and international colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general ledger accounting activities and maintain accurate accounting records
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations
- Process and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments
- Support intercompany reconciliations and settlement of outstanding balances
- Assist with bank and account reconciliations
- Review invoices and supporting accounting documentation
- Support VAT, tax, statutory reporting, and audit requirements as needed
- Prepare supporting documentation and explanations for internal and external auditors
- Monitor open accounting items and follow up with relevant departments
- Cooperate with colleagues from other finance teams and international offices
- Participate in process improvements and other ad hoc accounting and finance projects
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Previous accounting experience is preferred
- Good understanding of general accounting principles
- Strong Excel skills
- Good working knowledge of written and spoken English
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively during month-end and year-end closing periods
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Proactive approach and willingness to learn
Total Rewards
The base salary range for this role is €25,000 – €27,000 annually. Final compensation may vary and will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills and internal equity.
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for:
