Junior Financial Analyst

Aston Carter's large client in Vancouver is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to join their team!

Key Responsibilities

• Build Excel-based analysis and weekly reporting on labour and sales performance
• Prepare monthly labour allocations
• Support sales planning:
• Track performance against plan, prepare forecast inputs and flag variances
• Enter and maintain labour data, schedules and settings in planning and workforce systems
• Work with teams to answer questions, resolve data issues and gather information
• Support the new system rollout: data validation, testing, documentation and integration
• Use AI tools to streamline reporting, data prep and analysis

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MUST HAVE

Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field in Canada

02 years in an analyst, planning or reporting role (new grads considered)

Finance background with an understanding of financial modelling

Strong Excel: formulas and large data sets

NICE TO HAVE

University Experience from UBC, SFU or BCIT

Retail store experience

Exposure to labour, workforce or sales planning

Experience with a workforce management or planning system, especially a new system rollout

Hands-on use of AI tools for analysis or reporting

Co-op or internship experience in retail, FP&A or planning

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of North Vancouver, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
