Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and tech-savvy Business Analyst (Oracle CPQ) to bridge the gap between our business stakeholders and technical execution teams. In this role, you will play a key part in gathering, analyzing, and transforming complex product requirements into robust configuration solutions within Oracle CPQ.
Additionally, we are looking for a forward-thinking candidate with hands-on experience utilizing modern AI tools (e.g., Google Gemini, ChatGPT) to streamline requirement drafting, automated test case generation, workflow optimization, and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Gathering & Management: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Product Owners, Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Factory teams) to define product scope and translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications for Oracle CPQ.
- AI-Driven Productivity: Leverage generative AI tools (such as Google Gemini) to accelerate business documentation, draft process models, analyze data sets, and create comprehensive test scenarios efficiently.
- System Quality & Orderability: Ensure product configurations in Oracle CPQ are defect-free, orderable, and adhere to established standards for Orderability UX.
- BOM & Structure Simplification: Reduce ordering complexity by simplifying Bills of Materials (BOMs), rule logic, and offering structures in close collaboration with Product Management and Engineering.
- Portfolio Optimization: Drive SKU reduction, product cancellation analysis, and offer/catalog simplification activities.
- Development & Testing Alignment: Partner directly with developers to clarify business requirements, answer functional queries, and perform validation/testing post-development.
- Factory & Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with factory and supply chain teams to verify configuration rules, ensuring Sales Orders process smoothly without fulfillment errors.
- Quality Assurance: Design test plans, scenarios, and scripts to thoroughly and efficiently verify items, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and configuration rule changes.
- Agile Execution: Operate effectively within an Agile team environment to gather and analyze requirements while delivering high-quality ERP/CRM implementations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Programming & Querying Knowledge: Technical understanding or hands-on experience with SQL, PL/SQL, or scripting languages (e.g., Google Apps Script, BML, or Python) is preferred.
- Oracle Ecosystem Experience: Prior experience with Oracle Enterprise Applications (such as Oracle EBS, Oracle PLM, or Oracle CPQ Admin features) is preferred.
- Domain Experience: Background or knowledge in the Telecommunications domain is preferred.
- Adaptability & Mentorship: Ability to learn new technologies quickly, become an operational subject matter expert, solve complex business problems, and teach or mentor others.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of strong experience in a Business Analyst role gathering requirements, defining scope, and creating functional specifications for Oracle CPQ.
- AI Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience using modern AI tools (e.g., Google Gemini) for writing requirements, streamlining business process modeling, or generating test scripts.
- BOM Knowledge: Strong understanding of Bills of Materials (Oracle ERP) and rule-based configuration models.
- Process Modeling: Proven experience creating business process models and using them to clearly describe functional business requirements.
- Analytical & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent requirement gathering, analytical problem-solving, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Methodology: Familiarity with Agile vs. Waterfall software development methodologies.
