Role: Junior Financial Analyst Reports to: Financial Planning and Analysis, Manager Location: Toronto, Ontario – Hybrid The Junior Financial Analyst supports the Finance and Accounting team by preparing financial reports, performing data analysis, assisting with reconciliations, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. This role helps ensure the accuracy of financial information and provides analytical support for business decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and operational teams to maintain reporting integrity and support ongoing financial processes.

Description

The Junior Financial Analyst supports the Finance and Accounting team by preparing financial reports, performing data analysis, assisting with reconciliations, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. This role helps ensure the accuracy of financial information and provides analytical support for business decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and operational teams to maintain reporting integrity and support ongoing financial processes.

Job Duties

  • The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Prepare and maintain recurring financial, sales, and operational reports.
  • Assist with variance analysis of actual results versus budget and forecast.
  • Support forecasting and budgeting processes through data collection and
  • analysis.
  • Reconcile financial data across systems and investigate basic discrepancies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and prepare management reporting
  • packages.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations
  • and account analysis.
  • Support accounts receivable monitoring and reporting activities.
  • Maintain reporting databases and assist with financial system reporting
  • requirements.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure accurate financial
  • reporting.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and support special projects as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

Analytical skills with a knack for numbers

Understanding of accounting principles

Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial

records

Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (Net

Suites Oracle)

  • High Proficiency in English and in MS Office, including Power Bi and Power
  • Query.

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Compensation and Benefits
  • Compensation: $60,000-$65,00 per annum
