The Financial Analyst III – International will liaise with Arthrex Business Units to deliver reporting and analysis, as well as provide financial, market, and best practice insight and guidance in support of sales performance and business optimization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide routine and ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting

Analyze financial results for accuracy, determining variance drivers and documenting performance commentary.  Perform trend and sensitivity analyses to determine potential impacts on business results

Maintain cross-functional relationships with applicable business units and participate in cross-functional meetings to understand the status of identified initiatives

Gather, organize, and present financial data for the applicable area for management reporting and in preparation for regular leadership reviews

Prepare and summarize plan vs. actual reports and variance explanations for applicable areas

Understand and monitor relevant KPIs/trends/events impacting the business and incorporate this information into forecasts and analyses

Research and resolve inquiries for assigned functional areas

Implement and support continuous improvement in data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting efficiency and effectiveness

Exercise flexibility in working time or hours when needed to meet project deadlines and quality expectations

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

International Reporting

Partner with Global Finance Teams to align on reporting systems, developments, and improvements in company-wide reporting

Liaise with Global Finance Team to develop and report consistent financial KPIs

Perform regular and ad hoc reporting, planning, and analysis activities in support of International Finance and Sales Teams in support of regional and global objectives

Assist in administration, preparation, and completion of sales and operational expense budgets and collaborate with International Finance and Sales partners to ensure all budget holders have sufficient working knowledge of their budgets

Analyze market data in support of existing product lines, new business opportunities, and new product launches

Maintain cross-functional relationships with International Supply Chain, Operations, Transfer Pricing, and Global Finance and Accounting Teams

Identify, research, and report on variances or unexpected activity within financial results, including review of actual vs. plan and year over year comparisons

Partner with International Finance Teams and IT Center of Excellence to understand and streamline best-practice processes and reporting

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related Business/ Economics required
  • 3 years of relevant work experience required

Specialized Skills

  • Advanced Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of SAP/ERP system or equivalent

Strong collaboration & negotiation skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff
  • Strong presentation skills

Advanced, working knowledge of applicable specialty

Demonstrated independent problem-solving abilities and ability to collaborate-cross functionally

  • Ability to create or improve upon new or existing reporting and/and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Expertise in BI reporting tools and underlying data

Discretion / Latitude:

Work is performed under general direction. Participates in determining assignment objectives.  Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.  Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills

Virtual machines and laptops. Microsoft environment. Work with standard current computer applications, including but not limited to collaboration tools, email, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.
