This position works closely with operations to ensure accurate financial information, effective project cost management, and compliance with established accounting

  • The Financial Analyst I supports the financial management of contracts and
  • projects by tracking costs, analyzing financial data, preparing reports and
  • billings, and assisting with project forecasting and pricing. This position
  • works closely with operations to ensure accurate financial information,
  • effective project cost management, and compliance with established accounting
  • and financial processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review historical project costs to ensure financial data is accurate and

complete.

  • Monitor time charging, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other

project-related transactions.

  • Assist with project setup and maintenance within Costpoint and Time & Expense

systems.

  • Prepare customer billings, financial reports, and other project documentation

as directed.

  • Support the development and maintenance of Estimates to Complete (ETC) and

Estimates at Completion (EAC), including analysis of variances to budget.

  • Enter and maintain financial information within cost proposal systems and

pricing spreadsheets.

  • Provide financial reporting and analytical support to operational teams.
  • Ensure financial activities comply with established processes, policies, and

procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field and at
  • least 2 years of accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of
  • education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of accounting and finance principles, practices, and

procedures.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft; experience with Costpoint or similar

financial/project accounting systems is beneficial.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced

environment.
