Systems & Data Analyst

About us

Verde Capital Management (VCM) is a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) dedicated to delivering exceptional client service and innovative financial solutions. Our mission is to guide and educate our clients, helping them achieve their financial goals. Our team embodies unique values that drive the success of our clients and the company every day.

Are you ready to fuel the growth and mastery of a premier wealth management team?

We’re hiring a Systems & Data Analyst to join us on-site at our Clarkston, Michigan headquarters!

We are looking for an analyst to partner with our technology lead in strengthening and scaling our advisor-facing systems. In this role, you will help optimize internal workflows, maintain peak data integrity, and support a fast-growing team of financial advisors serving clients nationwide.

Are You Ready to Power the Tech Engine Behind Verde Capital Management?

Forget basic ticket-queue support and single point-of-failure operations. Join VCM as a Systems & Data Analyst and become a key driver of the technology infrastructure that powers our growing firm.

In this high-impact, dual-focus role, you won't just be answering "why can't I print?"; you will partner directly with our Tech Lead to master, document, and co-own the core data systems behind our advisory operations. We are seeking a high-energy problem solver who thrives on variety, someone who can seamlessly shift from troubleshooting daily user issues to diving into data workflows and ensuring account balances match across complex platforms.

While you'll start by learning our existing processes alongside our current technology lead, your mission is to eliminate single points of failure, build firm depth, and ensure our advisors always have fast, reliable tech support and seamless data systems.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting and data

  • Run and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports in systems including Black Diamond (portfolio management and reporting) and Salesforce (CRM)
  • Manage data in situ: cleanup, reconciliation, bulk updates, and quality checks
  • Run and maintain custom automations that process, transform, or move data, and help improve or extend them over time
  • Monitor and enforce cybersecurity best practices (multi-factor authentication, endpoint security, phishing awareness, and password management).
  • Assist with compliance audits, data backup checks, and disaster recovery testing.

Systems support and administration

  • Troubleshoot everyday IT problems for staff: printers, laptops, accounts, software, connectivity
  • Manage user administration (onboarding, offboarding, permissions, role changes) across all firm software.
  • Provision, configure, and maintain laptops, while managing software license allocations and asset inventories.
  • Coordinate with third parties (IT providers, software vendors, support desks) and track issues through to resolution.
  • Document core system processes to ensure operational continuity across the firm.

Cultural Alignment: The Verde Values

We are looking for a teammate who doesn't just "fit" our culture but elevates it. At VCM, we live by these eight principles:

  • Impact & Passion: Exhibit a bias-to-action to accomplish amazing amounts of work. Inspire others with a thirst for excellence and a natural curiosity for learning.
  • Innovation & Selflessness: Minimize complexity to find simpler, better approaches. Be ego-less when searching for the best ideas and share information proactively.
  • Communication & Honesty: Listen well to understand before reacting. Be self-aware. Be known for kind candor, directness, and treating everyone with respect regardless of status.
  • Dependability & Courage: Take full responsibility for your decisions and navigate challenges with sound judgment. Take smart risks and speak up, even if it’s controversial.

Requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to isolating problems
  • Comfort working with data: spreadsheets, tabular data, and an instinct for spotting records that don't look right
  • Clear written and verbal communication, especially with non-technical colleagues
  • Careful, detail-oriented work habits and sound judgment with confidential client information
  • Willingness to learn systems you haven't seen before

Preferred

  • 2–4+ years of hands-on experience in IT systems, data pipelines, or business intelligence; equivalent combination of education, relevant certifications, and professional experience will be considered.
  • Experience with Black Diamond, Salesforce, or similar portfolio management and CRM platforms
  • Experience scripting or coding (Python, SQL, etc.) or using AI tools for data work
  • Experience in wealth management or another regulated environment
  • Experience with endpoint management, user provisioning, or vendor coordination
  • Passionate about emerging technologies and AI applications in financial services, with a track record or personal drive for continuously learning and integrating modern tech tools into daily workflows.

We value curiosity and problem-solving ability over a “perfect” résumé. If you bring a strong foundational skill set and a drive to master the rest, we encourage you to apply.

Investment in You: Compensation & Benefits

At VCM, we believe that to deliver exceptional service, our team must be fueled, fit, and focused.

  • Competitive Compensation: $70,000 – $90,000 base (Eligible for Department Performance Bonuses), based on experience.
  • VCM Culinary Experience: Breakfast and lunch provided daily by our Corporate Chef (free). Optional dinner available for purchase.
  • Elite Wellness: 24/7 on-site fitness center with daily group workouts led by a Personal Trainer.
  • Ownership: Bonus opportunities through our Employee Stock Bonus program and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
  • Future-Proofing: Generous 401(k) matching.
  • Flexible Time Off (FTO): Take the time you need, ensuring the mission continues and work is completed.
  • Financial Mastery: 50% off financial coaching and discounted planning services provided by the VCM team.
  • Community-Based Medical Cost Sharing: Instead of traditional health insurance, we offer a comprehensive medical cost-sharing membership through Sedera, which serves as an innovative alternative for managing large, unexpected healthcare costs through a community-based model.
  • Employer Assistance Plan (EAP): In lieu of a vision or dental plan we have an EAP that gives you $1,200 per year ($100) per month for any medical expenses. You are free to also save this money to your HSA if you choose.

How to Apply

Attention to detail is a core requirement for this role.

  1. A Cover Letter and Resume are strictly required for consideration.
  2. Applications submitted without a cover letter will not be reviewed.

In your cover letter, please highlight your passion for problem-solving, your experience supporting users or working with data, and why you are excited to strengthen the technology foundation at Verde Capital Management.
