Job Details: Job Location: Weymouth - Weymouth, MA, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: 4 Year Degree, Salary Range: $95000.00 - $120000.00Salary/year, Travel Percentage: Occasional Travel (10-25%), Job Category: Human Resources, Reporting directly to the Vice President, this position has full responsibility for Human Resource personnel and payroll systems and programs. The HRBP will manage daily employee relations, drive talent retention, and support safety and compliance within the organization. Essential Functions / Responsibilities: Employee and Labor Relations Determines and recommends employee relations practices and communications programs necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote employee morale. Insures that employees are treated with respect and dignity. Implements and annually updates the compensation program; writes and updates job descriptions as necessary; conducts and participates in annual salary surveys. Recommends, develops, and administers salary structures, pay policies, performance appraisal programs, employee benefit and wellness programs and services and company and safety and health programs. Monitors for effectiveness and cost containment. Oversee payroll processing, administration and reporting for the hourly, non-exempt, and exempt payrolls. Resolve complex employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict on the production floor. Partner with operational leaders to ensure fair and consistent application of company policies and labor laws. Support positive employee engagement, morale-building initiatives, and transparent communication across shifts. Formulates and coordinates the company’s position in lawsuits, hearings and charges related to employment practices. Assures that the company employment, safety, personnel and equal opportunity policies and practices comply with federal and state labor laws. Assists supervisors and managers with employee relations issues and matters. Workforce Planning and Talent Management Partner with the talent acquisition team to recruit for hourly and salaried positions. Establishes recruitment and placement practices and procedures. Interviews candidates for employment opportunities. Identifies qualified personnel and coordinates new hire orientation and on the job training programs. Support performance management, onboarding, and career development for shop-floor employees. Develops and recommends training programs for hourly, non-exempt, and exempt employees. Safety, Health, and Compliance Coordinate with safety teams to support a proactive culture of workplace wellness and accident prevention. Track attendance, leave of absence programs (such as FMLA), and compliance regulations accurately. Secondary Responsibilities: Assume other activities and responsibilities as directed. Qualifications: To be successful in this position, candidates must have: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Seven (7) to ten (10) years of professional human resource management experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong grasp of employment laws, employee relations, and plant-floor operations. Excellent active listening, conflict resolution, and communication skills to connect with workers across all shifts. PHR/SPHR certification desired.
