HR Generalist
Position Summary
We are seeking an organized, personable, and proactive HR Generalist to support the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources department. This role will work closely with the HR Manager and assist with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, and other HR initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on Human Resources experience and be comfortable communicating with employees, candidates, managers, and leadership. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must, along with the ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the full recruitment process, including posting positions, reviewing resumes, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Conduct candidate pre-screen interviews and provide feedback to hiring managers.
- Coordinate the new-hire onboarding process, including offer documentation, pre-employment requirements, orientation, and employee records.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding general HR questions, policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Assist with employee relations matters, performance management documentation, and HR follow-up as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within the HRIS.
- Assist with benefits administration, employee changes, and other HR-related documentation.
- Support employee engagement, training, and company-wide HR initiatives.
- Help ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
- Assist the HR Manager with additional HR projects and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience with hands-on responsibilities including, but not limited to, recruitment, onboarding, and candidate pre-screen interviewing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Working knowledge of general HR practices and employment-related processes.
- Experience with HRIS systems; ADP experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
The successful candidate will be approachable, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This individual should be willing to take initiative while also understanding that the position works collaboratively with and in support of the HR Manager and broader organization.
