About the role

Serve as the primary HR partner for assigned schools and their leadership teams.

Coach and support school leaders through employee relations, performance management, corrective action, and difficult conversations.

Conduct fair, thorough, and well-documented workplace investigations.

Identify and elevate employment-related risks while helping leaders develop practical solutions.

Partner with Talent Acquisition and school leaders to support recruiting, interviewing, selection, offers, and onboarding.

Help ensure schools are fully staffed with qualified educators and support professionals.

Lead and support employee engagement, recognition, retention, and culture-building initiatives.

Analyze employee engagement, onboarding, exit, staffing, and other HR data to identify trends and recommend action.

Support employees in identifying professional growth and career-development opportunities.

Assist with employee and supervisor training related to HR policies, procedures, benefits, and best practices.

Support compensation analysis and programs designed to maintain competitive pay and internal equity.

Maintain accurate employee information and ensure employment changes are communicated timely to Payroll, Benefits, and other stakeholders.

Help maintain clear job descriptions, organizational structures, and expectations for employees.

Stay current on employment laws, HR regulations, policies, and emerging best practices.

Represent Choice Schools professionally and positively in every interaction with employees, candidates, leaders, and community partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.

At least 3 years of Human Resources or related professional experience.

Demonstrated experience supporting employee relations and working directly with organizational leaders.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to navigate sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism and sound judgment.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfort using HR technology, data, communication platforms, and other workplace systems.
  • A collaborative, service-oriented approach and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
