The HR Generalist reports to the site General Manager and partners closely with the site leaders to provide timely, consistent support to employees and supervisors.

Summary of Role
The Human Resources Generalist supports the day to day people needs of our Morristown manufacturing facility. This on site role leads site recruitment, manages HR administration, coordinates plant communications, and assists the site’s environmental, health, and safety (EHS) manager in admin functions. The HR Generalist reports to the site General Manager and partners closely with the site leaders to provide timely, consistent support to employees and supervisors.
Function and Scope
- Recruitment and staffing
- Manage the full recruitment process for Morristown positions, with particular attention to production and skilled manufacturing roles.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, prepare job postings, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and communicate with applicants.
- Coordinate offers, pre-employment requirements, new-hire paperwork, orientation, and onboarding.
- Maintain accurate staffing records and report on open positions, hiring progress, and turnover monthly.
HR administration and employee support
- Maintain accurate personnel records and complete HR transactions in HRIS, including hires, transfers, job changes, and separations.
- Serve as a first point of contact for employees and supervisors on HR policies, benefits processes, attendance, and routine workplace questions.
- Support employee relations matters through documentation, fact gathering, and coordination with site leadership and the Regional HR Director, as appropriate.
- Track and audit required training, policy acknowledgments, and other site HR records.
- Coordinate leave and accommodation requests with the appropriate procedures and level of authority
Plant communications
- Prepare and distribute clear, timely communications about staffing changes, company programs, training, events, and operational updates.
- Maintain effective communication channels for employees across plant departments and shifts.
- Help supervisors communicate workplace expectations and policy updates consistently.
EHS administration
- Coordinate the administrative side of site EHS programs, including training records, required documentation, reporting deadlines, and follow up.
- Assist site leadership with incident documentation, corrective action tracking, safety communications, and preparation for audits or inspections.
- Partner with the individuals responsible for EHS decisions and technical oversight to keep records and processes current.
Qualifications
- 2 years experience in a similar HR role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Experience recruiting skilled employees and managing multiple openings at once.
- Working knowledge of HR administration, employee relations, and employment practices.
- Strong organization, recordkeeping, written communication, and follow-through.
- Ability to handle confidential information with sound judgment and build trust with employees and plant leaders.
- Comfort working in HR information systems and standard office software.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
Work Environment
This is an in-office position based at the Morristown manufacturing facility. The role involves regular interaction with employees and leaders in both office and plant settings.
Monday - Friday; 8am - 5pm. This role is a salary exempt role, overtime is be expected
