Build Your Career. Make an Impact. Grow With Us.
Are you an HR professional who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and making things happen? Do you want a role where you can take ownership of your work, develop new skills, and see the difference you make? Metalcraft is looking for an HR Generalist to join our team!
As a 100% employee-owned company, Metalcraft believes our people are at the heart of our success. We're looking for someone who shares that philosophy and wants to help create a positive experience for our members, from their first interaction with Metalcraft throughout their careers.
This is an exciting time to join our Human Resources team. As our department evolves, you'll have the opportunity to learn, take on meaningful responsibilities, help improve the way we do things, and grow professionally.
What You'll Do
This isn't an HR position where you'll spend every day doing the same thing. You'll be involved in several important areas of Human Resources, including:
- Recruiting & Hiring: Help lead our recruiting efforts, connect with candidates, partner with hiring managers, and bring great people into our organization.
- Onboarding & Member Experience: Help new members get off to a great start and serve as a trusted, approachable resource for employees and supervisors.
- Payroll: Develop ownership of day-to-day payroll processing, helping ensure our members are paid accurately and on time.
- Benefits Administration: Support benefit enrollments, answer questions, coordinate changes, and play a key role in our annual Open Enrollment process.
- Safety & Compliance: Support workplace safety initiatives, documentation, recordkeeping, and compliance activities.
- HR Systems & Process Improvement: Help us find smarter, more efficient ways to work by improving HR processes, technology, and communication.
- Training & Development: Assist with programs that help our members learn, develop, and succeed.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is dependable, organized, curious, and genuinely enjoys helping people.
Our ideal candidate
- Has experience in Human Resources, recruiting, payroll, benefits, or a related business role.
- Enjoys recruiting and building relationships with people.
- Takes initiative, follows through, and can manage multiple priorities.
- Pays attention to details without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Can handle confidential information with professionalism and good judgment.
- Is comfortable learning new technology and improving existing processes.
- Communicates well with employees, supervisors, and leadership.
- Wants to keep learning and expand their HR knowledge and responsibilities.
Experience with ADP or other HR/payroll systems is a plus. A degree in HR, Business, or a related field is helpful, but we also value relevant experience. HR certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR are a plus, and an interest in professional certification is welcome.
You don't need to know every aspect of HR on day one. We're looking for someone with a strong foundation, the right attitude, and the drive to learn and grow.
Why Metalcraft?
At Metalcraft, you're more than an employee. You're part of an employee-owned organization where your work contributes to our shared success.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Work in a collaborative HR department with exposure to many areas of Human Resources.
- Build relationships throughout the organization, from our production floor to company leadership.
- Take real responsibility for important HR functions.
- Bring forward ideas and help improve the way we work.
- Develop your skills and take on additional responsibilities as you grow.
- Be part of a company that values integrity, teamwork, operational excellence, and long-term success.
Ready to Take the Next Step?
Whether you're an HR professional looking for a broader opportunity or someone with relevant experience ready to grow into a Generalist role, we'd like to hear from you.
Apply today and help us build the next chapter of Human Resources at Metalcraft.
