Your Role

As the Lifecycle Marketing Manager at Tenable, you will execute a global strategy for our go-to-market and lifecycle communications including email, in-product, and other communication channels. You’ll engage our core audiences, including customers, prospects and partners.

You’ll design email programs, manage customer lifecycle communications and build key market communications - all within an overarching strategy to drive pipeline, adoption, and retention.

The ideal candidate is an experienced communications professional who brings a strategic mindset along with experience designing email marketing programs, managing customer engagement programs, and working across global teams. The Lifecycle Marketing Manager will be the champion of Tenable’s email voice and strategy, working to establish and maintain a consistent voice across regions. Strong copywriting skills will be essential to help write compelling emails and adapt messaging for key personas (Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), IT leaders, and practitioners in the cybersecurity industry) across various communication channels.

Your Opportunity

  • Lifecycle Communication Strategy: Own messaging strategy across email (including newsletters, customer notifications, lead nurture campaigns, product launches, global events, and more), in-product messaging, and other communication channels.
  • Program Execution: Support engagement programs such as virtual events, community engagement, and advocacy programs.
  • Copywriting and Editing: Draft, refine and edit high-converting copy for a wide range of types of email communications and messaging. Ensure a consistent tone of voice across all communications.
  • Persona-Based Targeting: Adapt strategy and messaging for different buyer personas, aligning to prospect and customer lifecycles to effectively nurture leads and fuel customer growth.
  • A/B Testing: Design and manage ongoing A/B tests across email copy, schedules and layouts. Apply learnings to optimize and adjust email strategy.
  • Project Management: Balance many projects simultaneously with short deadlines. Maintain a global communication calendar and provide visibility to key stakeholders.
  • Global Partnership: Serve as a global bridge across regional marketing teams. Create and maintain global email standards to maintain a consistent style and voice across regions and audiences.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Track KPIs, analyze engagement metrics and performance against demand generation goals, and present insights to key stakeholders.

What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years of professional experience in email marketing, demand generation, or lifecycle marketing.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to provide an email writing sample showcasing how you adapt tone and messaging for different persona types (requested at the hiring manager stage).
  • A clear understanding of email strategy, what constitutes a successful campaign and how to measure and improve performance.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation (e.g. Marketo) and CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce).
  • Comfort with A/B testing methodology and experience with analytics tools and reporting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling copy and translate technical concepts into clear, value-driven messaging.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to balance many projects simultaneously with short deadlines for completion.
  • Must be a self-starter, accountable, and be able to interface with various teams and stakeholders independently.
  • An understanding of the cybersecurity industry and core buyer personas is a plus.

And Ideally

  • Experience in the cybersecurity or B2B technology industry is preferred.
