Since our launch in 1988, we’ve focused on providing helpful customer service and on-time delivery combined with deep expertise and advanced products. SkoFlo created the standard for distributed chemical injection systems, and we still make the industry’s only pressure-independent metering valves. Our products include the SF3 Packaged Solution, an automated chemical injection metering solution combining measurement, actuation, and control of flow rates. The SF3’s pressure-balanced technology provides reliable, accurate, and stable chemical injection for the industry’s most demanding and difficult chemical injection applications. SkoFlo’s surface chemical injection metering valves require no regular maintenance and allow one pump to share multiple injection points. Our surface back pressure regulators meanwhile increase system stability and maintain consistent upstream pressure by mechanically relieving excess chemicals back to the tank. We also offer subsea chemical injection metering valves that—just like our surface metering values—are operationally rated for up to 15,000 psi and provide stable and accurate flow regulation with our unique pressure-independent technology. Our subsea back pressure regulators prevent chemical siphoning and stop the uncontrolled delivery of chemicals into production wells. The proven design features a robust mechanical regulator that requires no power. SkoFlo's pressure-independent technology has proven itself in tough environments over the past 35 years. Our products provide our customers with the most stable, accurate, and reliable chemical injection systems to reduce chemical waste and save on operational costs. Visit skoflo.com to learn more.

WHO WE ARE
SkoFlo designs and builds precision flow-control valves that keep energy moving. Our chemical injection equipment is installed in some of earth's harshest environments, from deserts to the sea floor. Energy operators and system integrators around the world trust us to provide decades of flawless performance.
We are a focused team in Woodinville, Washington — small enough that your work is visible from day one, and serious enough that the world's largest energy companies seek us out. Engineering, sales, manufacturing, test, and quality work under one roof, so you can follow designs from CAD to the shop floor to the test stand without leaving the building. Here, autonomy is the default and ownership is the expectation: you get the room to make real decisions, and we trust you to see them through. We value rigor, honesty, and perseverance — the same qualities our customers count on our products to embody.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every qualification listed. We look for curiosity, initiative, sound judgment, and a desire to learn and grow. While technical skills can be developed, ownership, integrity, work ethic, and a commitment to excellence are expected of every member of our team.
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Mechanical Engineer at SkoFlo, you will learn our products from the inside out, absorbing decades of hard-won design knowledge you won't find in any textbook. You will own real designs from the first sketch through testing, production, and field service, and take on more as you prove yourself. This role is built for someone hungry to grow: master what we know, and you will become one of the engineers SkoFlo's future is built on.
WHAT SKOFLO WILL DO FOR YOU
- Pair you with our Principal Engineer, who will teach you decades of design knowledge and invest in your growth as an engineer
- Surround you with validation engineers, QC engineers, and production staff who will sharpen your designs every day, because here, everyone learns from everyone
- Give you ownership of real designs from day one, not a small slice of someone else's program
- Build rare expertise in exotic alloys, high-pressure fluid systems, and international industry standards that sets you apart as an engineer
- Connect you with global customers and let you see the fruits of your efforts at work around the world
- Back your growth with employer-paid tuition, sponsored hazardous location certification, and a clear path toward senior engineering roles
WHAT YOU WILL DO FOR THIS ON-SITE POSITION
- Design the components, assemblies, and fixtures that make our products work, from clean-sheet R&D concepts to refinements of proven designs already in the field
- Take your designs from first sketch to the test stand, planning and running the testing yourself, and back every decision with FEA and data
- Own the technical risk calls on your designs: bring your ideas to design reviews, challenge assumptions, and help shape the new product roadmap
- Decode demanding customer and hazardous location specifications, including welding, coating, and NDE, and decide how our designs will meet them
- Hunt down the root cause when a product doesn't perform, and lead the fix from NCR to corrective action
- Write the A3 and component papers that turn what you learn into knowledge the next generation of SkoFlo engineers will rely on
- Work hand in hand with the CAD Drafter and Manufacturing Engineer to drive design changes through ECN and into production clean
- Be the engineer Sales and customers call when they need a real answer
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN YOUR FIRST YEAR
- You own product lines end to end, and you're the first call when one has a problem
- A design you led has gone from concept through testing and into production, and it's performing in the field
- You make the technical risk calls on your designs, and our Principal Engineer trusts your judgment
- You've led a customer specification review from first read to final compliance, with the customer confident in every answer
- Your component papers have captured knowledge on our core products that used to live only in people's heads
- You've become a certified hazardous location expert, with designs that prove it
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- A drive to master your craft, and the hunger to own more every year
- The humility to learn from those who came before you, and the confidence to challenge them with data
- A love of solving hard mechanical and fluid control problems, hands-on
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 3+ years of experience in product design, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; experience with high-pressure equipment or another regulated industry is a plus
- Experience planning tests, collecting data, and proving designs with FEA and hard results
- The ability to turn complex findings into clear design reports and papers others rely on
- Proficiency with AutoDesk Inventor or SolidWorks, preferably in a controlled vault environment, with strong working knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
- Experience designing equipment for hazardous locations (ATEX, IECEx, or Class / Division) is a plus
- Clear communication with customers and colleagues
Base Compensation Range: $120,000 – 150,000 DOE. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity. Our salary ranges are reviewed and updated each year and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance.
Benefits and Professional Growth: Investing in our people is a top priority. In addition to competitive and equitable pay, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus and employer paid tuition. We also provide comprehensive benefits to support employees and their families, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, flexible spending accounts (FSAs), an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off (PTO), and paid holidays.
