Reporting to the UX Design Manager, you will be embedded within a cross-functional product pod—working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Analysts to design experiences that improve customer satisfaction, conversion, and revenue.

This role combines user-centered design, data-driven thinking, and strong execution, contributing to both the optimization of existing journeys and the creation of new, innovative experiences.

What You'll Do

End-to-End Product Design

Design intuitive, user-centered experiences across key parts of the digital journey (e.g., search, booking, post-booking, mobile app)

Take designs from concept through wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI to final delivery

Ensure designs are practical, scalable, and aligned with technical constraints

Customer-Centered Design

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, behaviors, and pain points
  • Use customer research, usability testing, and feedback to inform design decisions
  • Advocate for the user while balancing business and technical requirements

Optimization & Continuous Improvement

Partner with product and CRO teams to improve conversion and user experience across the funnel

  • Use data and experimentation insights to iterate on and refine designs
  • Identify friction points and propose solutions that enhance usability and performance

Design Systems & Consistency

Contribute to and leverage the design system to ensure consistency across web and mobile experiences

  • Maintain high standards of visual design, interaction design, and usability
  • Collaborate with other designers to evolve design patterns and best practices
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with

  • Product Managers to define problems and prioritize solutions
  • Engineers to ensure smooth implementation and high-quality delivery
  • Product Analysts & CRO teams to incorporate data and experimentation insights
  • Participate actively in agile ceremonies and product development processes

Prototyping & Communication

  • Create prototypes to communicate design concepts and validate ideas
  • Present design work clearly and effectively to stakeholders
  • Incorporate feedback and iterate quickly

Perks You’ll Get

Access to Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability insurance

Eligible to elect other voluntary benefits including: Group Auto Insurance, Group Home Insurance, Pet Insurance, Legal Assistance, Identity Theft Protection, FSA, Accident Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, and additional life insurance coverages

  • 401(k) Retirement Plan with company matched contributions
  • Full training to learn the business and enhance professional skills
  • Employee discounts, including discounted prices on the purchase of Avis/Budget cars

Access to an Employee Assistance Program for services including counseling, financial and legal consultation, referrals for care service and more

What We're Looking For

Experience as a Product Designer, UX Designer, or UI/UX Designer in a digital or e-commerce environment

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
  • Understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and visual design best practices
  • Experience working in cross-functional, agile teams
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Preferred (Nice to Have)
  • Experience designing for both web and mobile apps
  • Exposure to conversion optimization and experimentation (CRO)
