The Role

Every investment decision here runs on data. Our platform brings property, portfolio, and market information into one governed place, and AI changes how people use it every month. This role owns what we build next and why.

You will work with investment, asset management, and finance teams to find the problems worth solving. You will turn them into clear, testable definitions of done that engineers, vendors, and AI agents can build against. Then you will make sure people use what ships and that it keeps improving.

What you will own

  • Roadmap. Set the priorities for our data and AI platform, with clear tradeoffs and measurable outcomes.
  • Intake and discovery. Run one front door for requests. Turn one-off reporting asks into reusable platform capabilities.
  • Definitions of done. Write precise problem statements, metric definitions, and acceptance criteria, including evaluations for AI-generated outputs.
  • Prototypes. Use SQL and AI tools to test ideas against real data before engineering time is spent.
  • Quality and release. Own validation and release readiness with Data Engineering, and automate checks wherever possible.
  • Adoption. Define usage and outcome metrics, read the data, and act on it. Keep documentation and training current, using AI to draft and your judgment to approve.
  • Governance. Maintain source-of-truth definitions, permissions, and quality standards that investment professionals and auditors can trust.
  • Delivery rhythm. Keep a light, useful cadence with the Technology team, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Executive visibility. Give leadership an honest view of progress, risks, and value delivered.

What success looks like

  • 90 days: you own the backlog, the intake process, and the core metric definitions, and you have shipped a release you specified.
  • 6 months: adoption, accuracy, and time to insight are measured and reported to leadership.
  • 12 months: requests become capabilities, and key metrics have one trusted definition across the firm.

What you bring

  • 6+ years in product management, technical program management, or analytics delivery, including 2+ years owning a data, analytics, or internal platform product.
  • A record of taking ambiguous business problems to shipped, adopted outcomes.
  • Working fluency in data. You can read a SQL query, spot a bad join, and discuss warehouse and BI design with engineers (we use BigQuery and Power BI).
  • Hands-on use of AI tools to prototype, draft specs, and evaluate outputs.
  • The ability to define success through metrics, acceptance tests, and evals.
  • Clear communication with executives and investment professionals, including the ability to simplify complex data concepts.
  • Comfort with Agile practices and modern work tools such as Linear, Asana, Confluence, Notion, or dbt.

Preferred

  • Experience in commercial real estate, asset management, or private markets.
  • Familiarity with data governance concepts such as semantic layers, data contracts, metadata, and permissions.
  • Experience with workflow automation or AI-enabled internal tools.
  • Experience acting as an internal product owner alongside vendors or consultants.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, in any field. Certifications are welcome and never required.
