In this role, you'll work across Product, Engineering, customers, and technology partners to understand business needs, shape product solutions, and drive platform capabilities and external integrations from discovery through launch. You'll contribute to product priorities and own assigned initiatives, balancing customer value, technical feasibility, and business objectives. You'll bring strong technical understanding and product judgment to define requirements, evaluate solutions, and make informed decisions in close collaboration with engineering.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Translate business and customer needs into detailed product requirements, specifications, user stories, workflows, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
- Independently lead assigned product initiatives from discovery through launch, driving decisions, stakeholder alignment, and product acceptance.
- Break complex initiatives into manageable deliverables, identify dependencies, and collaborate with engineering to evaluate technical options, trade-offs, and resolve ambiguity.
- Work with engineering throughout development to ensure solutions meet product requirements, address risks and gaps, and are ready for launch.
- Collaborate with customers, Sales, Implementation, and Customer Success to understand business needs, evaluate solutions, and support utility RFP responses and product launches.
External Systems & Third-Party Integrations
- Drive integrations between FlexEnergi and external technology platforms from discovery through launch.
- Work with device OEMs, technology partners, and utility vendors to understand capabilities, limitations, and integration requirements.
- Define end-to-end integration workflows, including onboarding, authentication, data exchange, synchronization, device control, and exception handling.
- Evaluate integration opportunities based on customer needs, business value, technical feasibility, and implementation effort.
Examples of integration domains and technologies:

- Identify gaps and opportunities to simplify, improve, or standardize platform functionality across customers and integrations.
- Collaborate with engineering to evaluate technical approaches and ensure solutions meet functional, performance, reliability, and security requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business, or a related discipline.
- 4+ years of experience in technical or software product management, with demonstrated ownership of complex software products, platform capabilities, or integrations from requirements through delivery.
- Proven ability to translate business and customer needs into clear product requirements, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
- Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns, data models, and authentication, with the ability to evaluate technical options and work effectively with engineering.
- Strong product judgment and organizational skills to prioritize competing needs, manage ambiguity, coordinate stakeholders, and make practical trade-offs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
