About Cari
The Cari Network is building a blockchain-based payment system powering real-time, 24/7 movement of digital money across the traditional finance and digital asset ecosystems. A pre-launch startup, we’re creating an entirely new category of financial infrastructure that brings cash on chain through tokenization while powering the full spectrum of payments for our network — banks and most importantly, the customers they serve.
About the Role
You’ll own hands-on, end-to-end execution for defined areas of the platform, supporting the Product team and partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders to implement our vision into a best-in-class, on-chain payment network. You'll apply your judgment, structured writing, and analytical rigor to problems in digital payments and banking, while gaining experience in the domain. You won't have existing products to iterate on. This role is for those seeking how to build a product from 0>1 on a platform real banks are integrating against before it launches.
What You'll Do
- Support requirements definition for key product areas in our platform, from problem definition through release
- Write PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria that Engineering can build from
- Maintain the backlog: keep tickets scoped, current, and correctly prioritized, and retire the ones that no longer reflect where the product is going
- Reconcile designs, requirements, and implementation against each other before and after build, and drive discrepancies to resolution
- Plan and run user acceptance testing, then track defects through to close
- Analyze product and usage data to support prioritization decisions, and bring the numbers rather than the argument
- Conduct user research and partner interviews to surface pain points and validate requirements
- Produce the documentation our partner banks depend on: integration guides, release notes, and test scenarios
- Build working relationships across internal Cari teams (Product, Engineering, Design, Operations, Compliance) to inform product design and ship features to market
- Help evaluate competitive landscape and emerging trends in digital payments and blockchain
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of full-time professional experience in a product management or comparable role
- Exceptional writing. You take pride in producing clearly written, well organized documents that communicate ideas in professional settings
- Analytical fluency. You are comfortable aggregating and analyzing data, and you can defend a prioritization decision with it
- Comfortable learning new product and collaboration tools quickly, such as Linear, Notion, and Figma
- Strong written and verbal communications across technical and non-technical audiences
- U.S.-based, with the ability to travel up to 10%
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Bachelor's degree
Nice to Haves
- Experience in a product-facing role: product management, product operations, business or product analysis, technical program management, engineering, or design
- Experience in fintech, banking, or other regulated financial services environment
- Familiarity with payment rails such as ACH, wires, RTP, or card networks
- Experience developing, shipping, or designing API-first products
- Experience at a pre-launch or early-stage company, where the process did not exist yet
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary, bonus, and equity
- Full medical, vision, dental benefits
- 401(k) with company matching
- Flexible PTO in a remote-first environment
- Direct mentorship from product and engineering leaders, and room to grow into a Product Manager role
- Opportunity to shape a market-defining protocol with an experienced founding team
Security Responsibilities
Applies to all Cari employees
- Comply with all Cari information security policies, including the Acceptable Use Policy, and complete required security awareness training.
- Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Cari systems and data, including bank-partner and customer information, consistent with least-privilege access principles.
