The posting, in full
Proven builds an integrated EHR platform: clinical documentation, scheduling, billing, reporting and integrations, all on one system. We're hiring a remote Senior Technical Product Manager to own it: decide what we build, in what order, and what we don't build yet. You'll be the person who sees the whole system. When the business asks for something, you'll know what it touches and what it risks. You'll know whether now is "the right time", and you'll have the standing to say, "not yet" and back it up.

About the role
Proven builds an integrated EHR platform: clinical documentation, scheduling, billing, reporting and integrations, all on one system. We're hiring a remote Senior Technical Product Manager to own it: decide what we build, in what order, and what we don't build yet.
You'll be the person who sees the whole system. When the business asks for something, you'll know what it touches and what it risks. You'll know whether now is "the right time", and you'll have the standing to say, "not yet" and back it up.
What you'll do
- Own the roadmap. Weigh customer requests, sales commitments, compliance deadlines and technical health, and turn them into a plan the team can actually deliver.
- Push back. Tell the business "no" or "not now" when a request doesn't fit, with clear reasoning and tradeoffs.
- Protect the system. Before anything is built, assess what it touches across clinical, billing, scheduling, permissions, integrations and customer configurations. Identify downstream risks and define the level of review and testing required.
- Write requirements developers can build from: workflows, acceptance criteria, edge cases and dependencies.
- Own quality standards. Write test cases and UAT guides that prove a feature works and didn't break anything else. Establish consistent testing standards and help improve AI-assisted regression testing, working with Operations to identify coverage gaps and validate results.
- Drive release readiness. Ensure testing results, unresolved defects and material risks are reviewed and documented before release decisions are made.
- Partner with the Chief Software Architect and developers on scope, design tradeoffs and release readiness.
What you bring
- 5+ years in product management on complex, multi-module software, ideally after time as a BA or QA.
- A track record of owning a roadmap and defending it under pressure.
- Strong requirements and test-case writing.
- Systems thinking: you instinctively ask, "what else does this touch?"
- The technical depth to work closely with engineers without writing the code yourself.
- Comfort with AI tools, and the judgment to know when not to trust them.
- The ability to balance product priorities, quality, and risk without creating unnecessary process or slowing delivery.
Nice to have
- Healthcare IT experience: EHR, revenue cycle or behavioral health.
- Familiarity with ONC certification, HIPAA or other regulated environments.
- Experience as an early or first product hire at a growing software company.
- Establish a practical risk-review and release-readiness process, including clear testing expectations and documented exceptions.
Your first 90 days
- Learn the platform end to end and map how the modules depend on each other.
- Publish a roadmap that leadership has signed off on, including what's deferred and why.
- Put a requirements and test-case standard in place that every new ticket meets.
