About You

You are passionate about the role and thrive on solving complex problems with a talented team of colleagues who both challenge and support you. You believe in lifelong learning, constantly honing your skills and staying on the cutting edge of technology. Most importantly, you want to engage your talents to make a meaningful difference by revolutionizing the cargo industry.

About the role

The Product Manager I takes on the defined, repeatable work of product management so senior product managers can spend more time on strategy, customer judgment, and prioritization. It converts requirements into Jira work, secures and tracks cross-functional approvals, writes acceptance criteria and test cases, and equips Customer Success and Product Marketing with the value proposition and target audience for each feature. Every task has a clear input, a defined output, and a senior product manager who owns it, so its work is predictable, auditable, and repeatable across products including SprintPay, SprintPass, SprintConnect, and eModal.

What you'll do

Discovery and Research Support

  • ICP-Based Participant Sourcing: Given an ideal customer profile, pull a list of matching potential users from Salesforce or HubSpot for user interviews, surveys, and feedback on requirements and designs.
  • Outreach Preparation: Draft interview and survey invitations and discussion guides for senior product manager review and approval before anything is sent.
  • Insight Synthesis: Consolidate interview notes and survey results into themes, and tie each theme to the requirement or design decision it informs.

Requirements and Work Breakdown

  • Epic and Work Item Creation: Convert a product requirements document or prototype into a structured set of Jira epics, stories, and tasks, with links back to the source requirement.
  • Acceptance Criteria: Write specific, testable acceptance criteria for every work item for engineering to build against.
  • Traceability: Keep requirements, work items, and acceptance criteria in sync as scope changes, and flag gaps or conflicts to the senior product manager.

Alignment, Approvals, and Decision Log

  • Approval Requests: Request approval or alignment from key dependencies and stakeholders, including Legal, Finance, and Customer Support, using a standard request that states the decision needed, context, and deadline.
  • Approval Tracking: Track the status of every request, follow up on a defined cadence, and escalate overdue items to the senior product manager.
  • Decision Log: Maintain a running log across the development life cycle of each decision, who made it, when, the rationale, and any conditions attached.

Testing and Quality

  • Test Case Design: Build test cases from actual user observations, including interview findings, support tickets, and session recordings, and map each to acceptance criteria.
  • Repeated Test Cycles: Re-run the full test set throughout testing, both before and after issues are reported and after each fix is deployed, and record results for each cycle.
  • Defect Reporting: Log issues in Jira with steps to reproduce, expected versus actual results, and the linked test case.
  • UAT Coordination: Schedule and track user acceptance testing with participants, and compile results for senior product manager sign-off.

Go-to-Market Enablement

  • Value Proposition and ICP Summary: Summarize the value proposition and ICP of any feature in a consistent one-page format for Customer Success and Product Marketing.
  • Target User Lists: Pull the list of potential target users from Salesforce or HubSpot to support launch campaigns and drive adoption.
  • Adoption Follow-Up: Report adoption among targeted accounts after launch and surface accounts that have not engaged.

Qualifications

Required Capabilities

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similiar role.
  • Read and interpret PRDs, prototypes, research notes, and support tickets, and turn them into structured work.
  • Write clear, testable acceptance criteria and test cases in a consistent format.
  • Read from and write to Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, HubSpot, and email or chat tools through approved integrations.
  • Follow a defined process the same way each time, and record what was done.
  • Recognize when an input is ambiguous or out of scope and escalate instead of guessing.

Preferred Capabilities

  • Working knowledge of logistics terms across payments, ocean, air, and drayage operations.
  • Ability to tailor communication to Legal, Finance, Customer Support, Customer Success, and Product Marketing audiences.
  • Ability to learn from senior product manager feedback and apply it to later work.
