About Asurion
The world revolves around technology, and so do we. As a leader in tech care, our core business is providing protection, repair, installation and expert support for all our favorite devices. When tech breaks, we fix it. When it changes, we evolve. It's how Asurion creates meaningful solutions to millions of customers everyday—who choose us because we care.
The work we do is hands-on, collaborative, and most of all: vital. We don't just solve tech problems; we relieve the stress and frustration that comes with them. Our team takes ownership, and they put customers first. We're looking for smart, resourceful and passionate people to join us.
About the Role
We are hiring a Senior or Principal Product Manager to own Engagement & Monetization charter for Joy.ai — Asurion's AI-native tech concierge. Joy anticipates, advises, and acts, holding context on the customer and household by design. Your charter is to turn that context into durable engagement and growth: deepening how often and how meaningfully customers rely on Joy, and converting that relationship into value.
This is a hands-on product-building role. You will own the engagement loop and the monetization surface end-to-end: proactive outreach, personalized next-best-action, free-to-paid conversion, upgrade/trade-in — turning ambiguous household signals into experiments, offers, and growth.
The best candidate pairs strong product and growth instincts with fluency in agent-powered workflows, customer discovery, product instrumentation, and experimentation. You do not need years with the title "AI PM," but you do need to learn new technical domains quickly, build instead of wait, and turn ambiguity into shipped customer and business value. In your first six months, you will define the engagement and monetization thesis for the agentic concierge, stand up the experiment and measurement framework, ship a free-to-paid conversion path, and prove a repeatable, trust-preserving model for context-driven monetization.
Responsibilities
- Own the Joy.ai engagement and monetization charter end-to-end — from opportunity discovery and growth thesis through launch, measurement, and iteration — across web and native (React Native iOS/Android), live/voice, and proactive push.
- Own free-to-paid conversion: design and ship the paths that turn engaged free users into paying Asurion customers, and define the activation, trial, and upgrade moments that make the value obvious.
- Own proactive and personalized engagement: how and how often Joy reaches out (lifecycle/push), how it prioritizes content so it never spams the customer, and how every personalized interaction becomes a context-driven next-best-action — balancing retention, loyalty, and monetization against customer trust.
- Build conviction through working demos, measurable results, customer discovery, and controlled experiments — and partner with the agent/orchestration and evals team to hold engagement and offers to a measurable quality and trust bar.
- Rally domain PMs, design, engineering, data science, lifecycle marketing, field, finance, legal, security, and executives around the decisions needed to grow a differentiated, trustworthy, and monetizable concierge.
About You
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of product management.
- Track record of 0-to-1 product development: you have taken something from concept to first customers, revenue, or measurable business impact.
- Demonstrated fluency with native and web product surfaces (mobile and web), and the discipline of instrumentation, experimentation, and funnel/engagement analytics.
- Experience owning engagement, conversion, retention, or monetization metrics and using customer evidence, product metrics, and structured judgment to make high-stakes decisions with incomplete information.
- High agency with modern AI tools: you use tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, or equivalents to prototype, analyze, write, test, research, or automate parts of your own product workflow.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building, prototyping, or shipping AI-native products, LLM features, conversational or multimodal experiences, or agent-powered consumer apps.
- Experience with proactive engagement and lifecycle/push, personalization, and engagement-driven monetization.
- Experience across native (iOS/Android, React Native), web, and voice/live surfaces, and the challenge of a coherent experience across them.
- Strong product taste: you can simplify complex, ambiguous household journeys into opinionated, trustworthy agent behavior that customers understand and adopt.
You'll Be a Great Fit If
- You are already building with AI, whether at work, through side projects, prototypes, internal tools, or hands-on experimentation.
- You have strong opinions about where agents should act autonomously, where humans must stay in control, and how to prove the difference with evals rather than assert it.
- You are candid about tradeoffs, including projects you killed, launches that missed, or bets that changed direction because the evidence demanded it.
