About Credo AI
The Credo AI Governance Platform operates as the trust layer for global enterprises focused on transforming their organizations with AI. It is powered by a knowledge graph that is updated by agents, enriched with global regulatory intelligence and curated business context, supported by Forward-Deployed Experts, giving enterprises a clear view of the risk profile behind every AI system. By making that risk visible, we enable teams to move quickly and confidently scale across systems to adopt compliant AI, faster and in a compliant manner.
The Role
Our AI Governance Research team turns frontier AI research into product. What it builds is what sets Credo AI apart: governance intelligence that tells a company which rules apply to each AI system and agent, and AI-native features that do the governance work for them.
You'll own the roadmap for these AI solutions and take each one from research prototype to a platform capability customers pay for. That includes our AI governance assistant for intake and risk mapping, our governance knowledge graph and regulatory intelligence, AI vendor and third-party risk, and the evaluations that prove our AI features work.
You'll work with AI researchers and engineers who move fast and have strong opinions. Your job is to keep them pointed at customer problems, and to make sure what they build ships, sells and gets used.
What You'll Do
- Own the roadmap for our AI solutions, with clear monthly and quarterly outcomes.
- Own product metrics for AI solutions, including assistant activation, completion rate, recommendation acceptance, time saved, AI quality/eval pass rates and feature retention.
- Take prototypes through defined stages to platform capability: validated, beta, generally available.
- Ship AI-powered governance intake: a user describes an AI use case, and the platform fills in the assessment, asks follow-up questions and assigns a risk tier.
- Turn our knowledge graph into recommendations customers act on: which controls apply, which regulations matter, and what to do next.
- Define how we measure AI quality: evals, acceptance thresholds, and when a feature is good enough to ship.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing and Customer Success on packaging, pricing, positioning and launch.
- Talk to customers every month and bring their language back into the roadmap.
What Hands-On Means Here
- You prompt, test and break our AI features yourself before customers do.
- You write eval criteria and review sample outputs, not just the PRD.
- You build quick prototypes with AI coding tools to test an idea before engineering time is spent.
What We're Looking For
Required
- 4+ years of product management experience, including shipping at least one LLM-powered feature to production.
- Practical understanding of how LLM products work: prompting, retrieval, agents, evals and their failure modes.
- Experience turning research or prototypes into products customers pay for.
- Clear, concise writing. You can explain a model's limits to an executive and to an engineer.
- Comfort owning outcomes with a small team in a startup environment.
Preferred
- Background in AI governance, risk, compliance or policy (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001).
- Experience with knowledge graphs, regulatory content or enterprise search.
- Experience with vendor or third-party risk management.
- Experience at a Series A–C company navigating ambiguity and resource constraints.
- Preferred location: San Francisco, CA
Compensation
The expected base salary range for this position is $160,000-180,000 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
