This role supports the Chemtronics and Techspray brands — recognized leaders in precision cleaning, static control, rework and repair for electronics, aerospace, life science and industrial markets. In this role, you will be a key driver of new product development, leveraging first-hand customer insights and applications expertise to maintain our position as the premium supplier in North American and global markets.
The Opportunity: Innovation & Portfolio Ownership
As our Product Manager, you will own the full product line lifecycle across the Chemtronics and Techspray portfolios. You will act as the bridge between market needs and technical reality, ensuring our solutions maintain a clear and strong value proposition.
What a High Performer Delivers in This Role
- Revenue & margin growth: Measurable Year over year growth in assigned product lines, tracked against unit volume, revenue, and gross margin targets, driven by sharp product positioning, pricing, and portfolio decisions.
- New product introduction (NPI) velocity: Consistent delivery of new products, on schedule, with clear competitive differentiation, by owning the front end (customer requirements and business case, beta trial coordination and feedback) and launch readiness.
- Market share capture: Support sales team with the competitive analysis, positioning, and tools they need to win share in core electronics, aerospace, medical device and industrial cleaning segments.
- Voice-of-customer translation: Partner with sales and other functions to conduct VOC for new product development.
- Cross-functional leadership: Seen by Lab, Operations, Sales, and Marketing as a collaborative partner who builds alignment and makes clear, well-informed product strategy decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Innovation: Partner with Lab, Operations, Sales, and Marketing to develop and execute a robust Innovation Roadmap; own product strategy and roadmap for assigned cleaning chemistries across both the Chemtronics and Techspray brands (e.g., defluxers, vapor-degreasing fluids, heat transfer fluids, maintenance cleaners); lead products through each phase process to ensure competitive differentiation and timely market entry.
- Go-to-Market Excellence: Develop and implement comprehensive go-to-market plans, including pricing strategies and sales policies designed to achieve revenue and margin targets.
- Market Intelligence & VOC: Coordinate Voice of the Customer (VOC) exercises to define regional and global requirements for new product launches.
- Technical & Channel Partnership: The Product Manager develops enough technical expertise to accurately interpret customer challenges, translate them into actionable technical requirements, and then communicate solutions back to commercial audiences.
- Business Intelligence: Perform deep market research and competitive analysis; utilize data-driven analysis to track unit volumes, revenue, and margins to inform future product direction.
- Regulatory Leadership: Understand how our products fit within industry standards and regulations, including Aviation (Boeing, Airbus), Electronics (IPC, J-STD), ESD/static-control standards (ANSI/ESD S20.20), and environmental regulations such as REACH, RoHS, VOCs, PFAS, and TSCA, and partner with Lab to ensure compliance informs roadmap and positioning decisions.
- ITW Business Model: Utilize an 80/20 mindset to drive focus. Use simplicity to remove complexity and improve business outcomes. Analyze internal data, competitor offerings, and business strategy to simplify product offering.
What You Bring to the Team
- Technical Foundation: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
- Proven Experience: 5+ years in product management, applications engineering, or technical marketing within a manufacturing environment, ideally with a background in electronics manufacturing, precision cleaning, or industrial chemicals.
- Data Proficiency: A strong preference for data-driven decision-makers; experience with Power BI, HubSpot CRM, and ERP systems.
- Commercial Savvy: A passion for technology and innovation with a proven, quantifiable track record of launching products and analyzing segmented P&L statements to impact the financial success of a product line.
- Leadership Instincts: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative leadership style and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
