Job Summary
The MRCT Center is an applied research and policy center focused on improving the design, conduct, and oversight of multi-regional clinical trials, with a particular focus on multisite, international trials. Our efforts have resulted in the implementation of improved clinical research practices, greater transparency, and improved safety for research participants. We function as an independent convening group to bring together collaborative multidisciplinary teams to identify expert stakeholders from industry, academia, advocacy groups, nonprofit organizations, and regulatory agencies to address critical issues in the conduct and oversight of clinical trials.
The MRCT Center resides within the Division of Global Health Equity (DGHE). The Division of Global Health Equity (DGHE) fosters the support and coordination of training, research, and service to reduce disparities in disease burden and to improve treatment outcomes both at home and abroad. The Division focuses on infectious diseases (e.g., HIV and tuberculosis) as well as non-infectious diseases (e.g., coronary artery disease, diabetes, addiction) and other health problems (that disproportionately affect populations in the developing world) of major importance to society. The DGHE is the academic and administrative home of the Multi-Regional Clinical Trials Center.
The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for management, content expertise, and execution of one or more of MRCT Center’s projects. MRCT Center projects are related to the ethical, regulatory, and practical challenges in global clinical research. The PM will be responsible for scoping projects, creating project plans, facilitating workgroups, and drafting deliverables. PMs collaborate with and are provided day-to-day management and mentorship by senior staff within the Center. This role will also serve as a resource to MRCT Center leadership in preparing for events, leadership meetings, and collaborative activities in all areas of the Center.

- Synthesize and speak intelligently about the subject matter both with time to reflect, and in the moment during calls and conferences;
- Identify and develop practical tools for Sponsors, Institutional Review Board/Research Ethics Committees, clinical site staff, and patients/participants to use as it relates to project;
- Coordinate project activities and logistics with external stakeholders (including industry, academic, regulatory, patient/participant representatives), and policy professionals as required to support the project and/or dissemination of work.
- Draft fact sheets, talking points, and presentations for organization leadership.
- As related to project, perform analysis of qualitative and/or quantitative data.
- With leadership, identify funding opportunities and draft proposals.
- Liaise with partner organizations and like-minded clinical consortia to identify collaboration activities.
- Prepare manuscripts for publication as an individual contributor or on behalf of the MRCT Center.
- Plan and manage high-level, high visibility events and conferences sponsored by the center through planning and execution.
