Company Overview

Tsunami Tsolutions is a leading provider of technology solutions tailored for the aerospace and defense sector and other highly regulated industries. We deliver enterprise solutions that enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and decision-making for airlines, MROs, aerospace manufacturers, and other asset-intensive organizations.

NOTE: This position requires access to technologies and hardware subject to U.S. national security-based export control requirements. All applicants must be U.S. Persons (8 USC 1324b(a)(3)), or otherwise authorized by the U.S. Government. NO Company Sponsorship offered.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to independently lead customer-facing application development projects supporting military aviation programs. This role is accountable for overall project execution and delivery, including management of a dedicated cross-functional development team, project schedules, budgets, scope, risks, contractual commitments, and customer expectations.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who takes ownership of project outcomes, builds strong relationships with customers and technical teams, and anticipates and resolves delivery challenges before they impact project success. The position requires the ability to translate customer priorities into executable plans, navigate complex technical environments, make informed decisions, and communicate effectively with both working teams and executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and actively manage an integrated project schedule, critical path, budget, resources, dependencies, risks, issues, and change control, identifying impacts and driving recovery actions when delivery deviates from plan.
  • Lead a dedicated, cross-functional application development team, establishing clear expectations, priorities, accountability, and alignment with customer commitments.
  • Facilitate customer and internal governance meetings and provide clear status, financial, risk, and delivery reporting.
  • Build and maintain direct customer relationships, proactively manage expectations, facilitate difficult conversations, and drive decisions needed to maintain project progress.
  • Own project financial visibility, including budgets, forecasts, resource utilization, and the financial implications of delivery and scope decisions.
  • Anticipate delivery risks, investigate issues, propose solutions, and independently drive corrective actions, escalating when appropriate.
  • Coordinate readiness for major reviews, releases, demonstrations, testing events, implementations, and customer acceptance activities.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with PMO, quality, security, and customer requirements.
  • Support estimates, proposals, statements of work, and implementation planning for new or expanded opportunities.
  • Travel to customer or company locations as project needs require.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, information technology, aviation, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing customer-facing technical projects, including accountability for scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and delivery outcomes; five or more years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience managing software development, application modernization, systems integration, or comparable technical projects.
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, military aviation, or another highly regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities, dependencies, and stakeholders.
  • Strong written, verbal, facilitation, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to work from Melbourne, Florida, or Glastonbury, Connecticut, with travel as required.
  • Ability to pass required background investigation and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum, or comparable project management certification.
  • Experience with Agile and hybrid delivery methods.
  • Experience supporting military aircraft sustainment, maintenance, logistics, or mission-support applications.
  • Experience with government contracting, earned value concepts, or formal customer governance.

Work Environment

Melbourne, Florida, is the preferred location; Glastonbury, Connecticut, may also be considered. The role will follow the applicable local hybrid-work expectations and may require travel to customer or company sites.

Compensation

The target salary range for this position is $105,000–$135,000 annually, with individual offers based on each candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and qualifications. Consistent with our merit-based pay practices, we may consider higher compensation for candidates who can contribute beyond the role’s stated scope and take on broader responsibilities.

Benefits

Tsunami Tsolutions offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees, including medical, dental, and vision coverage; a 401(k) with company match; paid time off and holidays; and life and disability insurance. Additional options include an HSA-compatible medical plan with fully company-paid premiums, vision coverage at no additional cost when enrolled in a medical plan, and voluntary benefits such as pet insurance, supplemental life, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity coverage. Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and plan terms.
