About Climb

Climb is an AI-native Data & AI consultancy and Databricks partner. We help healthcare, life sciences, financial services and insurance companies get data and AI projects out of pilot and into production. Instead of large consulting teams, we staff small, senior engineering pods on fixed-scope engagements that reach production in 8 to 12 weeks.

We build long-term partnerships with the data teams we work with, and we grow our people the same way: through direct mentorship from founders and senior architects and real exposure to enterprise deals from day one.

Role Summary

We're looking for a Business Development Representative to open new accounts for Climb across regulated industries. You'll research companies running on Databricks or evaluating it, find the business problems their data teams are stuck on, and start conversations with the people who own them. You'll pair directly with a senior member of Climb’s GTM team and work alongside our solution architects and Databricks account teams on every pursuit, and you'll see how enterprise consulting deals are scoped and won.

We don't have a big-brand inbound engine. Every meeting we book comes from someone who found the right account, figured out who owned the problem, and started a real conversation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new-logo acquisition across healthcare, life sciences, financial services and insurance accounts.
  • Build and manage pipeline through outbound prospecting across phone, email and LinkedIn, plus referrals and industry events.
  • Plan and run account-based campaigns into named target accounts, coordinated with marketing and your Databricks counterparts.
  • Build relationships across data, IT, compliance and executive leadership, and understand who decides what.
  • Identify business challenges and translate them into data, analytics and AI opportunities our architects can scope.
  • Run discovery on early-stage opportunities and co-run deals alongside your sales partner.
  • Co-sell with Databricks account teams on shared accounts in your territory, and run a recurring sync with your assigned Databricks account executives and partner managers.
  • Collaborate with solution architects and delivery leads to shape winning pursuits.
  • Travel to represent Climb at client meetings, Databricks events, industry forums and Climb-hosted workshops.
  • Track your activity and results, and help shape the playbook as we grow.

What Success Looks Like

  • 30 days: You know our offerings and target accounts, and you've met your Databricks counterparts and set a recurring sync with each.
  • 60 days: You're booking qualified meetings you sourced yourself every week.
  • 90 days: You're consistently hitting your pipeline target and have contributed to at least one active opportunity.
  • 6 months: You're at full pipeline target, running discovery on your own, and co-running opportunities with your GTM partner.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a BDR or SDR seat, with a track record of meetings you sourced yourself, not just inbound follow-up.
  • Experience selling to technical, IT or data buyers. Backgrounds in data infrastructure, cloud, developer tools or technical recruiting are a strong fit.
  • Comfort with cold calling and hunting for contacts, and the ability to explain why you went after an account and why you started with the person you did.
  • Ability to research accounts and understand buyer personas and decision-making structures.
  • Curiosity about how data platforms and AI work, and the drive to learn the technology well enough to discuss it with an engineer.
  • Strong client-facing presence and clear, concise writing.
  • Bonus: Experience in or selling into healthcare, life sciences, financial services or insurance.

Who Thrives Here

This role is designed for BDRs who build their own pipeline today and are growing toward owning accounts and closing deals.

  • You'd rather build your own target list than wait for inbound leads.
  • You know why you're calling an account, and who owns the problem, before you pick up the phone.
  • You're curious about how data and AI work, and you're not shy about asking an engineer to explain it.
  • You take rejection in stride and make the next call just as sharp.

Why Climb

  • Learn from the builders. Work directly with founders and senior architects from your first week.
  • Room to grow. A clear path to Account Executive, with a promotion review at 12 months tied to sourced pipeline and conversion.
  • Where enterprise AI happens. A front-row view of the Databricks ecosystem and enterprise AI work.
  • Ground floor opportunity. Join early alongside seasoned founders to help construct our growth playbook from day one.
  • Focus on outcomes. We measure success by tangible business value and account expansion rather than arbitrary utilization metrics.
  • Senior engineering pods. Work directly with elite technical teams and AI tooling, free from management bloat.
  • Compounding IP. Every enterprise win builds reusable assets and technical blueprints back into our firm.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base plus uncapped variable
  • MacBook Pro and swag kit so you can do your best work
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Generous holidays and flexible PTO
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Professional development budget including Databricks and cloud certifications
  • Spot bonuses for relevant certifications
  • Conference attendance and thought leadership opportunities
  • Collaborative, low-ego culture with direct access to leadership
  • Opportunity to shape a growing practice from the ground floor

Climb is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
