Requirements
WHO YOU ARE FOR THE TEAM
- Minimum 2 years experience selling into professional sports team shops, retail buyers, or licensed/branded products is required. Experience in apparel, screen print, is a plus.
- Proven track record of building new business, expanding product categories, and consistently hitting or exceeding revenue and performance metrics.
- Comfortable working with a variety of sales cycles including fast-turn sales environments. You are comfortable operating with short lead times, shifting priorities, and incomplete information. You move before everything is perfect.
- Excellent written and verbal communication. Confident presenting to buyers, walking through line plans, and leading seasonal review and planning conversations.
- Organized under pressure. You track a high volume of contacts and opportunities simultaneously, communicate handoffs clearly to internal partners, and don't let things fall through the cracks when the pace is high.
- Skilled at building rapport quickly. Knows how to listen, ask the right questions, tell the Sportiqe story, and translate buyer needs into product and ROI conversations.
- Resilient and self-directed. You don't wait for the schedule to come to you — you track it, you find the openings, and you act. You thrive with autonomy and hold yourself accountable without needing external structure.
- Tech and CRM proficient. Comfortable in Google Suite, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and CRM tools. Zoho experience a plus.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
This role is for the person who is proactive and thrives at building a pipeline.
- Identify and develop non-traditional revenue opportunities tied to MLB stadium usage: concerts, touring events, non-game activations, and other music and entertainment engagements.
- Move quickly when opportunities arise. You stay ahead of the schedule, communicate fast, and execute without waiting for perfect information.
- Analyze sell-in and sell-through data to track account performance, identify trends, and develop actionable insights that inform your strategy.
- Lead buyer-facing sales conversations: pitching new products, presenting line plans, negotiating deals, and closing seasonal bookings.
- Partner closely with your Sales Leader on strategy, account priorities, and key relationship development.
- Delegate clearly and early to your Account Coordinator and Account Manager so operational follow-through stays tight even when pace is high. You are responsible for the quality of those handoffs.
- Track your pipeline and account activity consistently so nothing gets lost across a wide and shifting contact base.
- Continue to evolve in the role by embracing feedback, building product knowledge, and sharpening your understanding of both the sports licensing and music/entertainment markets.
