As a pioneering collective with a common purpose, we curate extraordinary moments and honor the soul of every place along our journey. At Rosewood Hotel Group, we answer The Calling. Together, we Make the Place.

THE TEAM

As part of the Finance Division, which focuses on delivering strategic financial leadership and operational excellence, this role contributes to the hotel’s profitability, compliance, and long-term growth. You will report directly to the Assistant Director of Finance, collaborating closely with divisional heads, corporate stakeholders, and ownership representatives to ensure financial integrity and performance.

YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, the Staff Accountant supports the establishment and operation of accurate, timely and well-controlled accounting processes for the hotel and estate. During the preopening period, this position functions as an Accounting Generalist, providing hands-on support across accounts payable, purchasing, general ledger, cash controls, income audit readiness, system implementation, master-data setup, reconciliations, administrative activities and other finance workstreams required for a successful opening.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

  • Support pre-opening accounting activities, financial system implementation, and operational readiness initiatives across the resort and estate.
  • Assist with the setup and validation of vendors, approval workflows, accounting structures, and finance controls.
  • Review, process, and reconcile invoices while ensuring accuracy, proper coding, approvals, and compliance with company policies.
  • Partner closely with Purchasing and operational teams to support invoice validation, vendor management, and month-end processes.
  • Prepare reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and financial schedules that support accurate financial reporting.
  • Monitor accounts payable activity, investigate discrepancies, and maintain organized, audit-ready records.
  • Support internal control compliance and identify opportunities to strengthen processes and efficiency.
  • Provide cross-functional support as a backup for General Cashier and Income Auditor responsibilities when required.

COULD THIS BE YOU?

  • You have a strong foundation in accounting principles, accounts payable processes, reconciliations, and financial controls.
  • You are highly analytical, detail-oriented, and take pride in producing accurate and well-organized work.
  • You quickly learn new systems and are comfortable working across accounting, purchasing, and operational platforms.
  • You demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and can confidently analyze and manage complex financial data.
  • You have the confidence and judgment to question unusual transactions, incomplete documentation, or control exceptions.
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
  • You communicate effectively and build positive working relationships with colleagues, vendors, and business partners.
  • You lead with integrity, accountability, confidentiality, and a commitment to excellence.

OUR BENEFITS

As part of our team, you’ll enjoy a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your wellbeing, professional growth, and life beyond work. Our offerings include:

  • Zero-cost healthcare plan options
  • 401(k) retirement savings program
  • 15 days of paid time off and 7 paid holidays
  • 14 weeks of fully paid maternity and paternity leave for eligible associates
  • 12 complimentary room nights annually plus 50% off food and beverage experiences
  • Complimentary employee meals and free onsite parking.

In addition, we provide ongoing learning and development opportunities and access to global career pathways across Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, helping you build a rewarding and meaningful career.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

At Rosewood Hotel Group, your voice is heard – and valued. We’re a community that encourages associates to be themselves, not fit into a fixed culture, and this philosophy shines through in our commitments to reflect and honor the history, culture and geography of our destinations.

We’re not only committed to building and nurturing genuine, long-lasting relationships but to transforming them – and our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy helps put these principles into practice.
