Based primarily in Mechanicsburg, PA, while also supporting Middletown, PA, you’ll build experience across employee relations, recruiting, talent management, workforce and succession planning, total rewards, and the overall employee experience.
And we’re thinking beyond your first role. We’re looking for an ideal candidate who is mobile in their career and open to exploring future opportunities in other locations as they grow with Schneider Electric. If you’re curious, motivated, eager to learn the business, and excited to build a long-term HR career, we want to hear from you.
What will you do?
- Serve as a trusted HR partner to employees and leaders, providing day-to-day guidance on employee relations matters and HR-related questions while effectively leveraging the internal HR Shared Services model
- Coach and support leaders through workplace investigations, employee relations matters, and the consistent application of HR policies and practices
- Foster a positive, inclusive employee experience and support strong employee relations across both distribution center locations
- Partner with leaders on workforce planning, succession planning, talent reviews, employee development, and identifying and developing high-potential talent
- Support hourly workforce recruiting and temporary contractor processes in partnership with internal stakeholders and external staffing providers
- Coordinate HR processes, programs, systems, and initiatives while supporting data accuracy, consistency, and alignment across both locations
- Partner with Schneider Electric’s third-party FMLA administrator to coordinate and manage leave-related cases
- Collaborate with HR and operational leadership to identify workforce needs, strengthen organizational capability, and support business priorities, including the people-related elements of the Schneider Production System (SPS)
What are the key skills we are looking for?
- Employee Relations — building trusted relationships, supporting workplace matters, and helping create a positive employee experience
- Collaboration & Influence — partnering effectively with HR, operations leaders, employees, and internal stakeholders
- Talent Management — supporting workforce planning, succession planning, talent reviews, and employee development
- Communication — demonstrating strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills in a distribution or operational environment
- Planning & Prioritization — managing multiple priorities, projects, and HR processes with strong follow-through
- Growth Mindset — bringing curiosity, initiative, and a self-driven approach to learning the business and developing as an HR professional
What qualifications will make you successful?
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience or exposure within HR, supply chain, manufacturing, or distribution
- Strong collaboration, communication, influence, planning, prioritization, and project management skills
- A self-driven and motivated approach with an eagerness to learn and grow
- This opportunity is especially well suited for an early-career professional with approximately 0–2 years of relevant HR experience
- Interest in building a long-term career with Schneider Electric, including being mobile and open to future growth opportunities in other locations as your career progresses
What's in it for me?
- Broad, hands-on HR experience across employee relations, recruiting, talent management, workforce planning, and the employee experience
- The opportunity to partner directly with HR and operational leadership and develop a strong understanding of the business
- Exposure to two distribution center environments, providing opportunities to build your HR capabilities across different teams and workforce needs
- An opportunity to build a foundation for a long-term HR career with Schneider Electric and position yourself for future growth opportunities
If you want an HR role where you can learn the business, develop your HR capabilities, make an impact, and position yourself for future opportunities, this could be a great next step.
Who will you report to?
