Role Summary
Overland AI is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join our Communications & Marketing (C&M) team and own how our products are positioned, messaged, and brought to market. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, storytelling, and go-to-market execution, with a mandate spanning messaging and positioning, sales enablement, content development, and campaign strategy.
As a Product Marketing Manager, you will be the connective tissue between our product, engineering, and business development teams and the external market. You will translate complex autonomy and vehicle capabilities into differentiated, mission-driven value propositions that resonate with defense customers, partners, and key stakeholders. You will also define and track the metrics that measure the impact of our marketing efforts across the funnel.
This is a strategic and hands-on role for a marketer who can move fluidly between crafting compelling messaging, building sales collateral, launching campaigns, and developing thought leadership. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning work from early concept through final delivery and thrives in a fast-moving environment where bold experimentation and cross-functional collaboration drive results.
Key Responsibilities
Messaging and Positioning
Own messaging and positioning for Overland AI vehicles across missions, customer segments, and key markets.
Set the strategy for how the company and products are talked about both internally and externally, equipping teams with consistent, up-to-date information.
Leverage insight from customer interviews and internal teams to craft messaging that increases engagement across communications and marketing channels, including the company website and social media platforms.
Translate vehicle and ground autonomy capabilities into differentiated, mission-driven value propositions.
Product Marketing and Go-to-Market
Partner closely with the Product and Engineering teams to understand upcoming features and capabilities and position them for optimal impact with existing customers and prospects.
Develop core product marketing assets, including sales decks, product briefs, launch materials, and campaign content.
Bring new capabilities to market with clear, consistent messaging in coordination with Product, Engineering, and Business Development.
Content Development and Thought Leadership
Continuously create and update marketing collateral, including product sheets and digital content, to reflect persona-driven messaging that moves customers through the funnel.
Develop thought leadership content, including articles, op-eds, and blogs, that advances Overland AI's perspective on vehicles, relevant missions, and operational concepts.
Contribute to broader content strategy across channels and formats.
Sales Enablement and Business Development Support
Work in lockstep with the Business Development team to strengthen arguments, handle objections, and ensure the best material is available for external engagements, including demos, case studies, and tradeshows.
Campaign Strategy and Analytics
Develop LinkedIn ad campaigns that are highly differentiated according to target audience.
Define success metrics for marketing efforts that provide signal on performance and opportunities throughout the funnel.
Regularly report findings and strategic decisions based on data.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing, marketing, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration or related field of study.
Past work on websites, campaigns, and launches that demonstrates creativity, attention to detail, precision, and polish.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
Familiarity with technical concepts and the ability to distill complex topics into digestible, compelling content.
Proven track record of creating and implementing messaging that moved the needle on engagement, activation, conversion, and retention across content platforms.
Versatile work product demonstrating abilities with email, ad copy, sales enablement, and account-based marketing. Graphic design and video editing capabilities are a plus.
Rich and productive relationships with both business development and product teams in previous roles, with a clear understanding of what made those partnerships effective.
- Experience collaborating with and sometimes managing small teams, including contractors.
- Fluency with marketing metrics, data tooling, and cross-functional reporting.
- History of rapid and bold experimentation to set strategies that produce step changes.
Sharp written and verbal communication skills for engaging with both customers and executives.
Location
The preferred location for this position is Seattle, WA. Open to candidates in San Francisco, CA, New York City, or Washington D.C. Remote opportunities considered for exceptional candidates.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range:
- Product Marketing Manager: $120,000 - $154,000
The salary range for this position is based on current Seattle, WA, labor market. Actual compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
