The Marketing team at uPerform is building a brand that is changing how health systems deliver education and ongoing support for Epic and other critical systems, and we'd love for you to be part of it. Our next goal is making sure every health system looking for a better approach finds uPerform, whether they're searching Google or asking an AI assistant, and turning that visibility into quality leads. We're looking for a motivated, self-directed, mid-level marketer with healthcare marketing experience, strong content and writing skills, and a track record of growing qualified traffic and leads through search and website optimization.
As our Website & Search Marketing Manager, you'll play a fundamental role in shaping how uPerform is discovered online and how our website turns visitors into leads. You'll be comfortable managing multiple projects at once, collaborating with internal teams and external partners, and creating content across our website, blog, social media, email, and digital campaigns.
Responsibilities:
Website
- Own the uPerform website as a marketing channel: set its roadmap and priorities and manage our external web resource from requirements through launch.
- Improve page experience and conversion paths, including landing pages, forms, and CTAs, and run tests to turn more visitors into quality leads.
- Keep the site healthy and current through regular site health checks, CMS updates, and fixes priority issues.
Search (traditional, AI, and paid)
- Identify and prioritize search opportunities across content, site structure, internal linking, brand, and third-party authority.
- Build and execute SEO, AEO, and GEO plans tied to qualified traffic, conversion, leads, pipeline, and revenue, not rankings alone.
- Manage paid search campaigns on Google and Bing, including keywords, ad copy, landing pages, and budget, to drive qualified leads efficiently.
- Analyze competitors' search and AI visibility to guide priorities.
- Strengthen uPerform’ s brand presence through third-party sources such as review sites, analyst reports, industry associations, and earned media.
- Stay current on search engines and AI platform changes and test new approaches quickly.
Content
- Write and optimize content (web pages, blog articles, guides, FAQs, and client stories) that answers the questions health system buyers ask and earns visibility in search and AI-generated answers.
- Develop content formats that perform well in AI answers, such as FAQs, expert Q&As, and structured client stories.
- Plan and manage a search-driven editorial calendar.
- Refresh and repurpose existing content so it stays accurate, current, and easy for search engines and AI tools to cite.
Measurement and collaboration
- Track how uPerform shows up in search and AI answers, including citations and share of voice against competitors, and how that visibility converts.
- Report results to marketing and sales leadership with clear recommendations.
- Create simple checklists and share search best practices with the rest of the Marketing team.
Work Experience/Knowledge
- Five years of experience with traditional and digital marketing channels, including healthcare marketing experience. Building authentic community presence (i.e. Reddit)
- Three+ years of hands-on SEO experience, plus recent, practical experience with AI search optimization (AEO/GEO).
- Hands-on experience managing paid search campaigns in Google Ads, with a focus on lead quality and cost per lead.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite, Google Analytics, WordPress, Zoom, and modern social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Reddit, and YouTube, Basic HTML, and structured data (schema) knowledge.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related fields, such as Marketing, Digital Media, Business, or Communications.
Skills and Competencies
- High level of motivation, self-starter, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to effectively manage changing priorities and excel in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups and cross-functional teams.
- Strengthening community presence/visibility, growing customer reviews using sites like G2.
