Description
Make a difference. Take ownership. Keep cases moving forward.
At Hensley Legal Group, our work is about more than legal representation. It’s about standing up for people during some of the most difficult times in their lives. As a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal, you’ll play an important role in that mission by keeping cases on track, advocating for clients, and helping our attorneys while serving our Spanish-speaking clients.
What you'll love about this role
You’ll work alongside a team that’s deeply committed to making a difference. From guiding clients through the litigation process to managing critical deadlines and preparing for mediation or trial, your work will have a direct impact on both your team and the people we serve.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a detail-driven environment, communicates confidently, and follows through. If you take pride in staying organized, anticipating needs, and taking ownership of your work, you’ll feel right at home here.
Your impact
You’ll help ensure every detail is accounted for and every case continues moving forward. From managing discovery and coordinating depositions to maintaining consistent client communication, your organization and proactive approach will help turn complex litigation into a smoother, more strategic process for our clients.
What you'll be doing
You’ll serve as a central point of coordination for active litigation cases, including:
- Serving as the client’s primary point of contact, conducting status calls every 30–45 days to check on treatment and provide case updates.
- Managing litigation deadlines, including setting reminders for motions, pleadings, discovery, and court requirements. Drafting and filing standard motions and pleadings in a timely manner.
- Completing and coordinating discovery, including plaintiff discovery, standard discovery to defendants, and non-party discovery (e.g., cell phone carriers, defense experts, insurance carriers).
- Preparing medical binders and organizing evidence for mediation and trial.
- Scheduling depositions and mediation.
- Verifying and addressing potential liens.
- Ensuring all discovery is received and answered prior to depositions.
- Delegating medical records, billing, and balance requests to the Legal Assistant and overseeing follow-through.
- Reviewing incoming mail and ensuring appropriate action or attorney review.
- Maintaining detailed case notes in the case management system in accordance with firm procedures.
- Following established trial preparation checklists and notifying the Litigation Attorney of any case developments or concerns.
- Closing cases in the system upon final settlement or satisfaction of judgment.
Requirements
What you'll bring
You’re highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. You understand that deadlines, accuracy, and follow-through matter in litigation, and you take pride in keeping cases moving. You communicate clearly and professionally with clients, attorneys, and external partners, and you’re ready to take ownership of your work.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish is required, including the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior legal experience, especially in personal injury litigation, strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines, documentation, and client communication.
Why you'll love it here
At Hensley Legal Group, we believe in leaving people better than we found them—including the people on our own team. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute meaningful work while building your skills and growing your career.
Here’s what we offer:
- A comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k), paid parental leave, and pet benefits.
- A flexible full-time schedule built around core hours.
- An in-office environment where you can work closely with your team.
- The opportunity to build a meaningful career while making a real impact on people’s lives.
Ready to take the next step?
If you’re ready to take ownership of cases, support meaningful litigation work, and grow your career as a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal, we’d love to meet you.
Special consideration will be given to resumes submitted with a cover letter.
Apply today and help us make a difference, one client at a time.
