This Role is Tailor-Made for You Because

You are a business-facing product leader who can translate complex retail operating needs into clear, testable product requirements and coordinate delivery across internal engineering teams and enterprise software vendors. You will own the technology roadmap for product lifecycle management, partnering globally across Planning, Allocation, Buying, Pricing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Master Data, PLM, Engineering, and external vendors to improve the tools and processes that determine how to manage foundational product information, what inventory to buy, and how it is allocated.

You are comfortable setting ownership boundaries across a broad portfolio, sequencing work by business impact, and distinguishing durable product investments from vendor-support and service-management work. You bring an iterative, outcome-based approach to discovery, prioritization, delivery, adoption, and measurement.

A Day in the Life

The typical day is… atypical. You might be:

  • Developing and maintaining a multi-quarter Merchandise Planning & Allocation roadmap across allocation, merchandise planning, forecasting, pricing, product data, and supply-chain change workflows.
  • Defining product outcomes, success measures, scope, sequencing, and tradeoffs; keeping the roadmap current and delivery work visible.
  • Prioritizing investment using business value, user impact, risk, effort, technical dependencies, and regional readiness.
  • Partnering with planners, buyers, pricing, merchandising, supply chain, master data, and tech teams to understand workflows, pain points, controls, and opportunities.
  • Translating discovery into well-defined problem statements, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, release plans, and UAT approaches.
  • Defining and monitoring product, operational, quality, and adoption metrics; using qualitative and quantitative evidence to refine priorities.
  • Serving as the accountable business-product counterpart and coordinating delivery across internal engineering teams and enterprise software vendors.
  • Facilitating backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily delivery coordination, UAT, release readiness, and post-launch measurement.
  • Identifying risks and dependencies early, escalating decisions with clear options, and maintaining a transparent decision log.
  • Resetting roadmap governance through focused stakeholder forums, defined decision rights, purposeful user-feedback sessions, and reusable standards for intake, prioritization, documentation, training, release communication, and vendor issue management.
  • Improving stakeholder participation by tailoring forums and communications to the decisions each audience needs to make.
  • Working closely with Engineering, enterprise application owners, data teams, and vendor partners on data quality, attribute mapping, integrations, regional business variation, vendor release cycles, and operational change management.

The consistent thread is that you’ll be working with an amazing team of women and men who share your passion for excellence.

To Land This Role

  • 7+ years of experience with merchandise planning, allocation, retail inventory, demand forecasting, pricing, supply chain, PLM, or adjacent retail-operations domains.
  • 4+ years of product management, product owner, business systems, or comparable experience delivering enterprise technology products.

  • Strong requirements, process-mapping, backlog-management, and agile delivery skills; experience with Jira, Confluence, and roadmap tools.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams, business executives, operational subject-matter experts, and external SaaS or service vendors.
  • Strong analytical judgment and comfort defining KPIs, interpreting data, and making transparent prioritization tradeoffs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience with Blue Yonder/JDA Allocation, S5 Stratos, SAP S/4 pricing, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Aptos, Centric PLM, or comparable retail platforms is preferred.
