Physician Relations & Business Development Representative

Bright Light Medical Imaging (BLMI)

Location: Arlington Heights, IL 60005

Employment Type: Full-Time

Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, hours vary between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is outgoing, approachable, and confident building relationships. The ideal candidate enjoys meeting people, developing new business opportunities, and generating measurable results.

The primary goal of this position is to increase physician referrals, strengthen existing relationships, and grow imaging volume across our centers.

Compensation

• Annual Base Salary: $62,000-65,000, based on experience and qualifications.
• Performance-Based Incentives: Additional biweekly bonuses based on imaging volume
• Historical annual volume-based bonuses have averaged approximately $20,000.
• Bonuses are variable, based on volume and are not guaranteed.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, medical offices, healthcare providers, and referral sources.
• Conduct in-person visits to physician offices, clinics, and healthcare practices to promote imaging services.
• Introduce new providers to our services, locations, scheduling process, and capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to establish new referral relationships and grow existing accounts.
• Maintain regular communication and follow-up with referral partners.
• Distribute marketing materials and provide information about available imaging services.
• Promote services such as MRI, CT, PET/CT, Ultrasound, Echocardiography, Mammography, X-ray, DEXA, EMG and Stress Test.
• Identify opportunities to increase patient referrals and imaging volume.
• Represent the organization professionally at networking events, healthcare meetings, and community events.
• Track office visits, new relationships, referral activity, and marketing efforts.
• Collaborate with management and scheduling teams to address referral partner needs.

Qualifications

• Previous outside sales, marketing, or healthcare business development experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• Healthcare or medical office experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable making in-person sales visits and cold calls.
• Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.
• Professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel between local physician offices and referral locations.
